What do you say other than “it’s all about exploring the American dream”! Doing something you love to do for a living. In our case it’s mixing our two passions, Fishing and Art. Only Make sense if were going to go after something why not create art by Custom Painting fishing lures to help make other fishermen be more successful.
My Name is Keith Eshbaugh . I’ve been interested in creating and admiring art my whole life. Ihave two degrees, and a diploma in art and wildlife art, but found out I couldn’t sit still long enough to paint pictures.
In addition my time in school I’ve been able to commit time to exploring my love for fishing by fishing professional Walleye and Musky tournaments around the country.
I have fished professionally the last 16 years on the Professional Walleye Trail (PWT), Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC), Kinzua Allegheny Walleye Association (KAWA), and Professional Musky Tournament Trail (PMTT).
I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and develop relationships with some of the best Walleye and Musky fisherman from around the country. As I learned what it took to compete against these anglers the more I realized it’s all about the detail.
Not only do these guys try to understand every detail about how a fish feeds or where they live but what their tendencies are as well. Once an angler gets a good understanding of these things they begin to focus on little things they can do different to put themsleves ahead of the rest of the fisherman.
A common example is when fisherman try painting their own baits or putting stickers on them to get their lures to stand out just a little bit more. Maybe even give there Crank Baits some additional flash to make them more life like. You can see where this has lead. Competing as a professional angler for years I strived to do the same thing for my own edge in the competition.
As I developed quality techniques for painting fishing lures and used them to create my own custom baits. I found others were interested in my creations as well. In addition to this I began having the same struggle other fishmerman were having.
My favorite lure is now discontinued and I couldn’t get it anymore. This seemed to be happening more and more. Needless to say I know offer my skills to others on a broader scale. I’m now fortunate enough to mix my passions as I enjoy making a living at it.
The added benefit is that others are able to enjoy what we do as well. There are many years of fishing experience behind our proven custom painted fishing lures. As well as and my passion for the art that we create.
